Shimla is undoubtedly a part of the most well-liked Himachal travel packages, along with a few other equally well-liked locations like Kullu Manali, Dharamshala, and Dalhousie. Shimla first gained notoriety during the time of British control, when Shimla served as the capital. It benefited from having the title of capital and provided British officials with a haven during the sweltering summers on the North Indian plains. Since then, Shimla’s exquisite and distinctive colonial architecture has given the city an old-world appeal. The interesting landscapes, rich British past, and the beauty of the hills region that Shimla is set against are all intertwined.
The British discovered this hill city in 1819 and fell in love with it, therefore Shimla’s history may not go back more than a few centuries. They established up a suitable road and train connection, and soon the British personnel found it to be quite popular due to the increased accessibility and beautiful weather that is thought to be relatively similar to that in England. As a result, they decided to hold parties, balls, and other celebratory events throughout the entire summer in Shimla. They immediately concentrated on creating residential schools and colleges for the upper-class British elites once they began spending a lot of time in Shimla. Shimla became a centre for theatregoers and art connoisseurs by the 1830s.
Shimla is one of the busiest hill stations practically the entire year due to its excellent train, air, and road connectivity as well as its excellent infrastructure, which can accommodate thousands of visitors at any given time. Shimla Manali travel packages are frequently purchased together. Shimla’s Mall Road is a popular destination for tourists for leisurely strolls. You can stroll, shop, purchase ornate candles and trinkets, dine at upscale establishments, and take pleasure in the lovely weather. Shimla’s highest point, Jakhoo Hill, is home to the renowned Jakhoo Temple and provides a spectacular perspective of the surrounding snow-capped Himalayas.
